Nine

Directed by Jeremy S. Levine & Rachael DeCruz | Director of Photography Nico Abaunza

A poetic verité film about the power of love and relationships in the long fight for justice. Nine tells the story of Gerald Hankerson, a Black 54-year-old community leader and his fight to free his “Pops,” Henry Grisby. Despite meeting in a punitive system designed to break them, Gerald and Henry forged a beautiful, loving relationship. Nine is the story of what that love can do when it’s put into action.
